Game Rules

1. Flaming, Racism, Harassment, and Disrespect

Regarded-PS is a cultural and diverse community with players spanning across the world. We must protect the integrity of this community by not allowing racism, harassment, homophobic slurs, flaming others, etc. Members flaming one another, using inappropriate language, slander, etc., will not be tolerated.

Use of inappropriate language, slanderous behavior, racism, or any other form of disrespect towards race, religion, ethics, sexual orientation, etc., will not be tolerated.

Harassment is defined as targeting a specific group or individual by being a nuisance, flaming, racism of any kind, disrespecting, etc.

Using Discord to single out another player or group to defame their reputation, character, or flame them will also be considered harassment and/or disrespect.

2. Doxing/Sharing Personal Information

Sharing personal information such as names, family member info, home addresses, phone numbers, etc., is forbidden.

3. Advertising Other Servers

Advertisement on the Discord and/or server is forbidden. Those who have other situations that do NOT relate to RuneScape Private Relations can privately message a member of management for permission to advertise; otherwise, all advertisements will be dealt with in the same manner.

Commonly known links (e.g. RuneLocus, Rune-Server, and YouTube) will be permitted provided this exception is not taken for granted and does not advertise another community.

4. Spamming

Spamming on Regarded-PS is not allowed; this includes but is not limited to causing a nuisance in the clan-chat system, populated areas, spamming the same message over-and-over, etc.

Auto-Typers are allowed within the following parameter: the timer should be set to a minimum of 15 seconds.

5. Hacking & Threats

Hacking other players' accounts or threatening to hack, DDoS, or cause any form of harm (in-game or real life) is strictly prohibited.

6. Encouraging Others to Break Rules

Encouraging, assisting, or manipulating other players to break any of the server rules is prohibited. This includes but is not limited to encouraging scamming, bug abuse, harassment, or any other rule violation.

7. Bug Abuse

Exploiting bugs or glitches in the game for personal gain or to disrupt gameplay is strictly prohibited. This includes any unintended game mechanics that provide unfair advantages.

If you discover a bug, please report it immediately to a staff member rather than exploiting it. Players who report bugs may be rewarded for their contribution to improving the game.

8. Player Vs. Player (PvP)

PvP is an integral part of the game, but certain behaviors in PvP areas are not permitted:

• Luring players under false pretenses
• Skull-tricking through deception or exploitation
• Using bugs or glitches to gain unfair PvP advantages
• Harassment through repeated targeting of specific players

Fair PvP combat, including clan wars, wilderness activities, and PvP events, is encouraged and is a core aspect of the game.

9. 3rd Party Software

The use of third-party software to gain unfair advantages is prohibited. This includes but is not limited to:

• Botting or macroing
• Auto-clickers (except for auto-typers as specified in Rule 4)
• Plugins that provide information not available in the standard client
• Any software that automates gameplay

Approved third-party clients are allowed, but any plugins or features that provide unfair advantages are not permitted.

10. Impersonation

Impersonating staff members, other players, or any official Regarded-PS entity is strictly prohibited. This includes:

• Using similar names to staff members
• Claiming to be staff or have staff powers
• Impersonating other players to scam or deceive
• Creating accounts with names designed to impersonate others

11. Scams/Gambling/Refunds

Scamming other players through any means is prohibited. This includes but is not limited to:

• Trade scams
• Luring
• False advertising
• Account sharing scams

Player-run gambling is not permitted. This includes dice games, flower games, or any other form of gambling not officially implemented in the game.

Refunds for scammed items are generally not provided. Players are responsible for their own trading decisions. Always verify trades carefully before accepting.

12. Real-World Trading

Buying, selling, or trading in-game items, gold, or accounts for real-world currency or items is strictly prohibited. This includes:

• Selling in-game gold for real money
• Buying in-game items with real money
• Trading accounts for real-world value
• Exchanging in-game items for goods or services outside the game

13. Services

Offering in-game services for in-game currency is permitted, but with the following restrictions:

• No account sharing services (playing on another player's account)
• No services that involve breaking other rules
• No services that involve scamming or misleading other players

Players offering services are expected to fulfill their commitments. Scamming through service offers will be treated as a scam under Rule 11.

14. Yell Channel

The Yell Channel is a server-wide communication channel and has additional rules:

• No excessive spam or misuse
• No offensive or inappropriate content
• No advertising trades repeatedly (use trading post instead)
• No harassment or targeting of other players

The Yell Channel is primarily for important announcements, seeking help, and community interaction. Abuse of this channel will result in temporary or permanent loss of access.

15. Vote System

Abusing the voting system is prohibited. This includes:

• Using VPNs or proxies to bypass voting restrictions
• Creating multiple accounts solely for voting
• Using automated systems to vote
• Exploiting any bugs in the voting system

Voting is an important way to support the server, and legitimate voting is encouraged and rewarded.

16. Punishment Evasion

Attempting to evade punishments by creating new accounts or using VPNs is prohibited. This includes:

• Creating new accounts while banned
• Using VPNs or proxies to bypass IP bans
• Having others play on your behalf while banned
• Attempting to circumvent mutes through alternative communication methods

17. Maximum of 3 Alternate Accounts in AFK Zones

To ensure fair gameplay and server performance, players are limited to a maximum of 3 accounts in AFK training zones at any given time. This includes:

• AFK combat training areas
• AFK skilling locations
• Any designated AFK zones

This rule is in place to prevent server strain and ensure all players have fair access to training areas.

Remember that these rules exist to ensure a positive gaming experience for everyone. When in doubt about whether an action might violate the rules, it's best to err on the side of caution or ask a staff member for clarification.
